Proper Application and Care of Real Mink Lashes

Applying Real Mink Lash Strips

Since you've decided to invest in our luxury lashes, we recommend spending just a little extra tender loving care when it comes to looking after and storing them. By doing so, you are ensuring that you get the most life possible...up to 25 wears!

Before use, always apply any eyeliner or mascara you may wear to your own natural lashes. This will keep the mink lashes from loosing their shape and quality.

Use the applicator to gently remove the lashes from the tray by holding the band of the lashes and peeling the band away from either side. Avoid pulling individual strands as they are much more fragile and can pull out.

Next, compare the lash length with your own natural eye length and trim any excess. Then apply a thin layer of the lash glue of your choosing to the band and let it dry for 10-15 seconds or until tacky (don't allow glue to get on applicator as this could allow them to stick to the lashes.

Still using the applicator, gently adhere the mink lashes on top of your lash line, adjusting as needed. Secure by pressing down. Make sure the band is not coming up at the corners or the lashes may work their way loose.

To remove your lashes, soak a cotton ball with non-oil based makeup remover and gently rub it in a downward motion along the lash line. Remove lashes as they come off.

Caring for your mink lash strips

To keep the integrity of your mink lashes intact for as long as possible, always do the following:

  1. Remove remaining glue from lashes after each use
  2. Keep away from heat and water
  3. Never allow them to become bent
  4. Remove before bedtime

One of the final but most important steps in taking care of your lashes, is finding a safe and convenient place to store them. We always recommend placing lashes in the original tray you got them. At Mother Esque, our mink lashes come in a durable tray and box to allow for easy access, plus they're super cute so you're not likely to discard them as easily.

Lastly, ENJOY!
